About Us

Carlton Clinic was established in 1993 and has a strong history in serving all members of the community by providing high quality General Practice.

We are well recognised for our work in the diagnosis, research and treatment of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). We play an important and active part in the Melbourne gay and lesbian community.

 In addition to our well-qualified and experienced doctors, we are proud to be an accredited practice for the postgraduate training of General Practitioners. We consider the doctors involved in this program to be a valuable asset to our clinic. Since 2001, our rapidly growing practice has received administrative support from Symbion Medical Centres.

At Carlton Clinic we aim to be industry leaders in the following four areas:

• Appropriate and friendly medical service for gay and lesbian men and women from all over Melbourne

• STD and sexual health medicine for a wide cross-section of people

• High quality General Practice for people living or working in the Carlton area

• Primary HIV care and clinical research for people living with HIV from all over Melbourne
